Mike began following Jesus just after graduating from high school. Almost immediately he felt the Lord calling him to engage with a community of believers, and this call eventually led him to Northland in 1993. His faith grew at Northland as he attended worship, built close relationships, participated in small groups, served, and was discipled in God's Word. He served on staff at Northland as a youth and college intern from 1993-1996, and he is now honored to continue serving the Northland family as one of our Governing Elders. His passion is for people to experience a deep, personal connection with Jesus that will impact their lives.

Vocationally Mike works as a management consultant helping organizations improve their business operations. Mike and his wife Nikki met at Northland in 2004 and were married in 2006. They live in Winter Springs with their children Brooke (9) and Reed (6). The Kemp family enjoys traveling together as well as outdoor activities like swimming and biking.
