Danny Gordon

Governing Elder, Treasurer

Danny Gordon
serves as
Governing Elder, Treasurer
at Northland Church.

Having grown up in a Christian home to loving and devout parents, Danny was introduced to Jesus at a young age and he remembers "asking Jesus into his heart" when he was 6 years old on a car ride to school with his mom. During the following years in school, his faith was tested and, though his heart had accepted Jesus as his Savior, his mind was not fully convinced. While wrestling with the truth of the Gospel as a teenager, he grappled with questions regarding the reliability of the Scriptures, and the reality of the Resurrection which were convincingly answered as he searched the Scriptures and read Josh McDowell's book "More Than a Carpenter.”  He made a decision to follow Jesus in high school and has desired to serve Jesus with both his heart and his mind ever since!

Danny has deep roots in Orlando, having grown up in the area and attending Boone High School. It was during high school that he met his wife Nichole through "Campus Life," a ministry of Youth for Christ which was led by former Northland Pastor Vernon Rainwater, (thanks, Vernon!) Danny has served Northland in various capacities throughout the years, leading worship for the Married Young Adults Ministry, hosting a Bible study in his home, and serving as a Governing Elder. He and Nichole have been attending Northland together since 1998 and Nichole has been a part of the Northland family since she was 5 years old. Their love and care for the Northland community run deep.

Danny’s passions center around authentic worship, accurate interpretation of the Scriptures, worshiping through the arts, developing healthy marriage and family relationships, and building connections between people to encourage them to become more like Jesus every day. On a less spiritual note, Danny is an architect, an avid golfer, loves to surf, and is a rabid Clemson fan.

Danny and Nichole have two grown children, Grayson and Ashton, and have recently added Milania, their 5-year-old foster daughter to the family. Grayson is a Second Lieutenant in the Cyber branch of the Army and Ashton is a ballerina in Ballet Magnificat!, a professional Christian ballet company that tours the world presenting the Gospel through the art of dance.  Milania enjoys learning, loves macaroni, and is a huge TobyMac fan!
