This parable sums up the Gospel perfectly. The Gospel is a life to be lived, not merely words to be understood. In today's culture it's easy to get caught up in what Pastor Joel refers to as: "sinking sand territory" - where our current situations and questions minimize our faith. However, we have something more solid than what our culture clings to - we have Christ, the Rock of our salvation. What are you building your life on?
