The Road to Emmaus (May 4-10)

The Road to Emmaus (May 4-10)

May 7, 2020

This week we’re reading the story of Jesus with the two men on the road to Emmaus. Jesus showed His friends He was alive so they would believe He had risen. Even though we can’t see Jesus’ face right now, He is in our hearts. Jesus is alive!

When you sit at home: Read Luke 24:13-18, 27-35. Jesus explained everything the Scriptures said about Him to Cleopas and the other man. What does the Bible tell us about Jesus?

When you walk along the road: If you could take a walk with Jesus, what would you ask Him?

When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, thank You for showing Yourself to Cleopas and his friend. We are so glad You are alive. Help us to know You are with us every day. Amen.”

When you get up: The Old Testament was written hundreds of years before Jesus was born, but it gives many clues, called prophecies, about things to come in the future life of Jesus. Use the cards at this link to review some of the prophecies and how they pointed to Jesus.
