The Resurrection (Apr 17-18)

The Resurrection (Apr 17-18)

April 15, 2021

We worship the God who saves us. This weekend in children’s church, we will learn Jesus died to save us and was raised from the dead.

When you sit at home: Age3-Grade 3 read John 20:1-18. Grades 4-5 read 1 Corinthians 15:3-6, 20-22, 51-52. Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead three days later. Why is this important?

When you walk along the road: We celebrate the good news that God raised Jesus from the dead. Rising from the dead is called resurrection. What is your favorite part of the resurrection story?

When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Jesus, for dying on the cross for us. Thank You, Father God, for raising Jesus from the dead. Help us understand and celebrate who You are and what You have done! Amen.”

When you get up: We can tell the Good News about Jesus’ death and resurrection to others! Draw a picture of the resurrection story and share it with someone you know.
