This week we continue the study of Jesus’ parables with the parable of the lost son (Luke 15:11-24).
When you sit at home: Read Luke 15:11-24. A parable is a story that teaches a lesson. Jesus used parables to teach people about God’s kingdom. What is the lesson Jesus wants us to learn from this parable?
When you walk along the road: Like the father who welcomed his son home, God welcomes us to be close to Him. What do you think it means to be close to God?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Lord, for opening Your arms and welcoming anyone who wants to come to You. Thank You for welcoming us back even when we wander from You. Amen.”
When you get up: Plan a special family party to celebrate each other.Thank God for giving you a family who cares for you and who you can care for.
