This week, ages 3-5 are learning Jesus’ parable, “The Lost Coin” (Luke 15:8-10). We will learn heaven rejoices over each of us. Grades 1-5 are learning Jesus’ parable, “The Great Banquet” (Luke 14:15-24). We will learn we need to respond to Jesus’ invitation.
When you sit at home: Read the parable for your child's age group. A parable is a story that teaches a lesson. Jesus used parables to teach people about God’s kingdom. What is the lesson Jesus wants us to learn from this parable?
When you walk along the road: What have you learned about Jesus and His kingdom from the parables you have heard?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord,thank You that I am Your special treasure. Thank You for inviting me to be with You in heaven for eternity. Amen.”
When you get up: What does it mean to “follow Jesus”? Have you accepted Jesus’ invitation to follow Him?
