Ages 3-K are learning Jesus’ parable,“The Good Shepherd” (John 10:14-16). We will learn Jesus is our Good Shepherd. We belong to Him and He cares for us just like a shepherd cares for his sheep.
Grades 1-5 are learning Jesus’ parable, “The Workers in the Vineyard” (Matthew 20:1-16). We will learn how Jesus used the story of a fair and generous landowner to teach us that God is fair and generous.
When you sit at home: Read the parable for your age or grade. A parable is a story that teaches a lesson. Jesus used parables to teach people about God’s kingdom. What is the lesson Jesus wants us to learn from this parable?
When you walk along the road: What have you learned about Jesus and His kingdom from the parables you have heard?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You,Lord, for teaching us with Your parables. Help us to understand what you want us to learn about You and Your kingdom. Amen.”
When you get up: God is good. He cares for us and gives us blessings we don’t deserve. When has God been generous to you? How could your family be generous to someone you know?
