The Good Samaritan (Aug 3-9)

The Good Samaritan (Aug 3-9)

August 4, 2020

This weekend in children’s church, we finish our study of Jesus’ parables with the parable of the Good Samaritan.

When you sit at home:  Read Luke 10:25-37. A parable is a story that teaches a lesson. Jesus used parables to teach people about God’s kingdom. What is the lesson Jesus wants us to learn from this parable?

When you walk along the road: When have you missed a chance to love your neighbor by showing someone kindness?

When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, open our eyes to see and respond to the needs of others. Fill us with Your Spirit so we might sacrifice to serve our neighbors in need. Amen.

When you get up: How can you show kindness to someone today?
