We worship the God who sends. This weekend in children's church, we follow the Israelites as they prepare to enter the Promised Land. Finally!! We will see how God sent them everything they needed but they needed to trust His plan for their lives.
When you sit at home:
Ages 3-K read Joshua 1:6-9; 3:15-17; 4:4-9, 17-18. What did God say to Joshua to help him be a strong and brave leader?
Grades 1-2 read Joshua 2:2-15, 17, 21. Grades 3-5 read Joshua 2:2-15, 17, 21, 23-24. God sent Rahab to keep the two Israelite spies safe. What led Rahab to help them escape Jericho?
When you walk along the road:
Ages 3-K: How does knowing God is with you help you to be strong and brave?
Ages 4-K Whisper Verse: “Be strong and brave.”
For grades 1-5, Rahab believed in God and He kept her and her family safe. What are we saved from, if we believe in God? What is our reward?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Lord, for always being with us. Help us to be strong and brave leaders and honor You in all we say and do. Amen.”
When you get up: Play a game of freeze tag. Choose one person to be“It” and one person to be the rescuer. When the rescuer tags a person who has been frozen, they are unfrozen (saved) and can continue playing.
