This week, we'll continue learning stories from the Old Testament. Let's learn about Samson and his strength.
When you sit at home: Ages 3-K read Judges 13:5; 16:2, 3 and Grades 1-5 read Judges 14:5-6a; 15:12-15, 20. Who gave Samson his strength? The Holy Spirit gives us the strength we need to do everything He asks of us; we just have to ask. What are you facing right now that you could ask the Holy Spirit for strength in body, heart, or mind?
When you walk along the road: How can your family help each other to make good choices?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, thank You for helping me grow up and be stronger. Please give me strength to do things Your way and to build Your kingdom. Amen”
When you get up: As a family, brainstorm ways you can use your muscles together to help someone else. Here are a few ideas: help a neighbor care for his or her yard, clean a brother or sister's bedroom, or help your parent carry groceries. Be sure to tell the person you help that God gave you the strength to help them!
