Priscilla and Aquila (Apr 24-25)

Priscilla and Aquila (Apr 24-25)

April 22, 2021

We worship the God who saves us. This weekend in children’s church, we will learn that Paul, Priscilla, and Aquila worked together as tentmakers and helped others follow Jesus. God gives us many types of opportunities to serve Him together and to support the ministry of others.

When you sit at home: Age 3-Kindergarten read Acts 18:1-4; Romans 16:3-5a. Grades 1-5 read Acts 18:1-3, 9-11, 25-26; Romans 16:3-5; 1 Corinthians 16:19. Priscilla and Aquila served God by helping Paul tell people about Jesus and by starting churches. Why do think God gave Paul friends to help him tell others about Jesus?

When you walk along the road: God created us for relationships with Him and with each other. We need to work together to serve God and tell others about Him. What is something you have done with a friend or group of friends to serve God? Why is it good to serve God with our friends?

When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Lord for giving us family and friends who love us and whom we love. Help us to encourage each other to serve You. Show us ways we can serve You together. Amen.”

When you get up: Paul was a missionary. That means God sent Paul to go out into the world and tell people about Him. Do you know a missionary?  If not, Northland sponsors several missionaries. You can read about them here: Missionaries

Choose a missionary you can learn about and pray for this week. Decide on a way your family will encourage that person or family. You might send them a card or color a picture and let them know you are praying for them, or maybe you can donate supplies or funds to help their ministry. Like Priscilla and Aquila, you can serve Jesus together with friends and family!
