We are learning about the Spirit who gives us power. In Acts 8, we read how God led Philip to teach the man from Africa about Jesus.
When you sit at home: Age 3-Kindergarten read Acts 8:27-31, 34-35. Grades 1-2 read Acts 8:26-31, 34-35.Grades 3-5 read Acts 8:26-31, 34-40. How did the Spirit help Philip share God’s Word?
When you walk along the road: God placed Philip in a situation where he could explain the good news about Jesus. God does the same for us. Do you find it difficult to tell others about Jesus? Why? Brainstorm with your family some ways you could tell others about Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to make you ready to share the good news and watch for the opportunities He will give you.
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Lord, for giving us the Bible. Teach us Your Word so we can tell others about Jesus. Help us share what we know with others. Amen.”
When you get up: Valentine’s Day is coming up soon. How could you show your friends and family that not only do you love them, but Jesus loves them, too?!
