We worship the Spirit who changes us. In Acts 12, we read about Peter’s escape from prison. We learn God wants us to join together in prayer and watch for Him to answer our prayers.
When you sit at home: Age 3-Kindergarten read Acts 12:5-17. Grades 1-5 read Acts 12:5-16. Who was praying for Peter? Why is prayer important?
When you walk along the road: When do you pray? How has God answered your prayers?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, thank You for Your grace in hearing and answering our prayers. Help us come together in prayer and trust You alone for the answers. Amen.”
When you get up: Why is it important for believers to pray together? How can your family encourage each other to pray together? Just as God sent the angel to save Peter, God sent Jesus to save the world. Use our family devotional for Lent to remember who Jesus is and what He has done for us.
From Ash Wednesday to Easter is the season of Lent. For more information about Lent and a short weekly family devotional, check out The Seven Stars of Lent on the Northland website.
