We worship the Holy Spirit who shows us we are weak and God is strong! This weekend in children’s church, we will continue reading from the New Testament letters. We’ll talk about how God’s power is made perfect in our weakness.

When you sit at home: Age 3-Kindergarten read 1 Corinthians 2:1-3, 5. Grades 1-2 read 2 Corinthians 4:6-7; 12:7-10. Grade 3 reads 2 Corinthians 4:6-9, 16-18; 12:7-10. Grades 4-5 read 2 Corinthians 4:6-9, 16-18; 12:7-10, Jude 1:24-25. Jesus says his power is made perfect in weakness (2 Cor 12:9). What do you think that means?

When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Lord, for showing Your power through our weakness. Help us to trust in Your power rather than our own. Amen.”

When you get up: The Bible is filled with stories of people who were weak and made terrible mistakes. But, God still used them to do great things. See how many Bible people you can name who God used despite their mistakes (e.g. Adam, Eve, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Samson, David, Jonah, Peter, Paul, Thomas). If God could use these people with their weaknesses, he can certainly use you and me! Pray and ask God to use you this week.
