We worship the Holy Spirit who shows us that God will protect us and help us stand against evil. This weekend in children’s church, we will continue reading the New Testament letters. We’ll talk about what it means to choose to wear the armor of God and be strong in Him.

When you sit at home: Age 3-Kindergarten read Ephesians 6:10, 13, 15-18. Grades 1-3 read Ephesians 6:10-11, 14-18. Grades 4-5 read Ephesians 6:10-11, 14-18; 1 Peter 5:8-10; 1 Corinthians 15:58. What does it mean to let God make you strong?

Watch Delbert & Lello or Jasper J. Johnson and Watson as they talk about this week’s scripture.

When you walk along the road: The belt of truth keeps us close to God by reminding us what is true about Him. Take turns sharing something you know to be true about who God is and what He has done. Keep count and see how many you can name.

When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, thank You for making us strong. Help us use Your strength to obey You and tell other people about Jesus! Amen.”

When you get up: Draw a picture of the six pieces of the armor of God or get more creative and make your own armor and label each piece. As a family, talk about which is your favorite piece of armor and then, which piece is the hardest for you to remember to wear. How can you help each put on the full armor of God each day?
