We worship the God who sends. This weekend in children's church, we will read how God sent Joshua and His people to take over the city of Jericho. Just as Joshua trusted God’s plan for taking Jericho, we can trust God’s plan for our lives,too!
When you sit at home: Ages 3-K read Joshua 6:1-20. Grades 1-2 read Joshua 6:1-5, 8, 10, 14-16, 20. Grade 3 reads Joshua 6:1-5, 8, 10, 14-16, 20, 23. Grades 4-5 read Joshua 5:13-15;6:1-5, 8, 10, 14-16, 20, 23. God sent Joshua with a plan to take Jericho. What was God’s plan? Do you think it was difficult for Joshua and the people to follow God’s plan? Why or why not?
Ages 4-K Whisper Verse: “Shout for joy!”
When you walk along the road: Why is it difficult sometimes to follow God’s plan for our lives? The stronger our faith is, the easier it is to trust Him. How can we grow in our faith in God?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, Your power is amazing.Thank You for being a God whom we can trust. Help us to trust Your plans for our lives. Amen.”
When you get up: Take turns leading each other in a trust walk. While one person is blindfolded, another person takes them by the arm and leads them carefully through an obstacle course such as around a chair, through a door, under a table, or over a stack of books.
