This weekend, we’ll be in Big Church with our parents but you can continue the story of Jesus as you read about His visit with Martha and Mary. Jesus encouraged Martha to spend time with Him. We’ll learn Jesus wants us to spend time with Him, too!
When you sit at home: Read Luke 10:38-42. Martha invited Jesus to come visit her. Preparing for guests is a good thing, but once Jesus was there, Martha was still busy in preparations and she wasn’t spending time with Him. How would you feel if someone invited you to their home but didn’t spend time with you?
When you walk along the road: Just like Martha, sometimes we get so busy with work, activities, or playing, we forget to spend time with Jesus. How can you spend time with Jesus? How can your family spend time together with Jesus?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, we want to spend time with You. Help us to put You first. Amen.”
When you get up: Play “Be Still” (Freeze) Tag or plan some activities for your next Sabbath that your family can do together and spend time with Jesus.
