This weekend in children’s church, we will hear how Jesus cleared the temple of the men who were cheating the people in God’s house. We will be reminded that God’s house is special and holy to Him.
When you sit at home: Read Mark 11:15-17. As Jesus taught the people, what did He say the buyers and sellers had made God’s house to be? (A den of robbers.) What did He mean by that? (The sellers were doing wrong by selling unfairly; they were robbing the buyers.)
When you walk along the road: If you had been in the temple that day, what would you have learned about how important God’s house was to Jesus?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, thank You for letting us meet with You in Your house. We want to treat our church building as a special place for You. Amen.”
When you get up: As a family, talk about what you could do when you’re at church to show God that His house is special to you, too.
