This weekend in children’s church, we will hear the story of how Jesus called ordinary people to follow Him. We will learn God calls each of us to follow Him.
When you sit at home: Read Luke 5:1-11. What did Simon Peter, James, and John give up to follow Jesus? Do you think that was difficult for them?
When you walk along the road: Jesus calls us to follow Him, too. What are some of the things Jesus calls us to do?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, thank You for calling us to follow You. Help us to listen to You and obey You every day. Amen.”
When you get up: Play a game of Follow the Leader or create a reminder of this story by tracing each family member’s footprint. Then, each family member writes on their footprint: “I (name) will follow Jesus everyday.” Hang the footprints where you will see them daily.
