This weekend in children’s church, we are learning about Jesus’ conversation with the woman at the well. Children will be reminded that Jesus wants us to tell others about Him.
When you sit at home: Ages 3-K read John 4:7, 25-26, 28-30, 42. Grades 1-3 read John 4:7, 10-11, 13-14, 25-26, 28-30,41-42. Grades 4-5 read John 4:6-11, 13-14, 25-26, 28-30, 39-42. When the woman realized who she was speaking to, what did she do?
When you walk along the road: People were surprised Jesus talked to this woman because He was a Jew and she was a Samaritan. The Jews and Samaritans didn’t talk to each other. But, Jesus doesn’t care who we are, what we look like, or where we come from. He loves us all. How could you show Jesus’ love to someone who isn’t so loveable?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, we are thankful someone told us about You. Help us tell others about You and to show love to them. Amen.”
When you get up: Together, think of someone who you can tell about Jesus. Invite them for a meal, invite them to church, or give them something that will remind them God loves them.
