There's no comfortable or easy way to get to maturity. We are reminded in this passage that Jesus interrupts us so that we can be reminded of the bigger picture instead of our present circumstances. Whenever we think, "I don't need this", evidently God thinks otherwise. Pastor Joel reminds us that what we may perceive as an attack, is a rescue. Sermon text: Luke 24:25-27 Scriptures referenced: Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 53:4-5, Numbers 21:9, John 3:14-15, Deuteronomy 18:15, John 1:45, Matthew 26:24 Worship Attribute: Worship Christ today as the Word of God. Christ came as the Word, the revelation of God. He has given us Scripture as His written revelation. Through His Word we learn who He is and what He says He has done. We can learn how our story can be a part of His story. Worship Set: "How Great Thou Art" Words and Music by Stuart K.
