We worship the Spirit who changes us. In Acts 9, we read how God changed Saul’s heart.
When you sit at home: Read Acts 9:1-19. Talk about what the word persecution means (to treat someone unkindly, especially because of their race, or political or religious beliefs). Saul did not believe Jesus was the Lord and he thought people who believed in Jesus should be stopped. He was capturing them and taking them as prisoners. What did God do to change Saul’s heart?
When you walk along the road: When God changed Saul’s heart, Saul was filled with the Holy Spirit. Saul was changed from a man who was hurting believers into a man who helped people believe in Jesus. God changes the heart of anyone who believes in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, how has God changed you? If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can pray and ask Him to come into your heart anytime. Jesus is always listening. If your child wants to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, you can lead them in this simple ABC Prayer or a similar prayer.
Lord Jesus, I Admit I am a sinner.
I Believe You are the Lord who died to take my sins away.
Please Come into my heart and I’ll follow You forever.
In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Lord, for the way You change our hearts, thoughts and actions by the work of Your Holy Spirit. Help us to become more like You every day. Amen.”
When you get up: Play “Flashlight Tag” to remember the light from heaven that flashed around Saul. One person is designated as "it" and given a flashlight. "It" counts to 50 with eyes closed while the others hide. When "it" finds someone, he or she shines the flashlight on that person. That person then becomes "it" and counts to 50 with his or her eyes closed as the first player hides. Play as long as you like!
