We worship the God of Power. God gives us the faith to trust in His power. He is the one true God who protects us in ways we cannot see.
When you sit at home: Age 3-Kindergarten read 1 Kings 18:30-39. Grades 1-5 read 2 Kings 6:15-20. What did God do to show He is the only true God?
When you walk along the road: Did God say we would never have troubles? (No.) God does not always protect us in the way we hope or expect, but no matter what is happening in our lives, He is always with us. We belong to Him, the one true God, forever. Share something that is causing you to be worried or afraid. How can today’s story help you to have peace about your situation?
“ My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Lord, for showing us Your power as the one true God. Open our eyes so we may see Your presence, power, and protection. Amen.”
When you get up: At dinner, light a candle or have a campfire in the evening. While you enjoy your time together, talk about how God used fire in the Bible story to show He is the one true God. How else has God shown you His power in your life?

He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals His thoughts to man, He who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth— the Lord God Almighty is His name.” “Seek good, not evil, that you may live.
