This weekend, we continue learning stories from the Old Testament. This week, we will hear the story of David and Goliath.
When you sit at home: Read 1 Samuel 17:4-9, 32-50. As we read about David and Goliath, we learn David trusted God with the problems and challenges he faced. How did God prepare David for the battle with Goliath? How does God prepare you for the challenges you face?
When you walk along the road: What problem or challenge can you trust God with today? Pray for each other and ask for God's help.
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord, thank You for always being with us. Help us to trust You with the problems and challenges we face each day. Amen.”
When you get up: Read Ephesians 6:11-18 together. Draw a picture of the armor of God (life-size if you can do it!) and hang it as a reminder of the armor God gives us to stand in His strength.
