Appearing to Thomas (June 1-2)

Appearing to Thomas (June 1-2)

May 29, 2019

We worship Jesus as our Savior. If our hearts are open, He gives us what we need to believe in Him.

When you sit at home: Read John 20:24-31. Why did John write about Jesus’ miracles?

Ages 4-K Whisper Verse: “Believe the miracles!”

When you walk along the road: Thomas did not believe until he saw Jesus. Even though we cannot see Jesus, He will give us the faith to believe what we cannot see. What kinds of things cause you to doubt? How do you turn your doubt into faith?

When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Lord Jesus, thank You for Your miracles. Thank You for helping us believe. Amen.”

When you get up: Have one person create a sentence beginning with “I exercise my faith when I" and ending with an actionable phrase, such as “study for a hard test.” Then, have everyone act out the phrase, such as by pretending to open a book to study. Afterward, talk about why that action requires faith, such as by saying, “When we study for a hard test, we have faith that God will give us the power to memorize all the important facts for the test.” Take turns creating the sentence.
