Lord, when the time comes, may You help our future pastor and his family be certain that transitioning to a new field of ministry is Your will, and may you strengthen them by Your graceLord, remove any trepidation our current pastors and staff might feel about “what might change” or “where will I fit” when our new pastor arrives. We pray the chemistry will be just right, and that we would be servant-minded and humble toward the person God brings. May You form a strong and healthy team made up of people with open minds and hearts and excitement and hope for all that is ahead. As for the inevitable challenges that go along with most transitions, may we be a team who rallies around our new pastor, showing grace as he grows into his role, our culture, and finds his footing.
