Gil and Michika Cauthorn

Gil has been living in Japan since 2011 as a missionary. Prior to moving to Japan, he was involved with Mission to Japan/Homestay International for 6 years. He is currently the director of youth outreach and discipleship at Mustard Seed Christian Church in Osaka, Japan. He is also a science teacher. Michika is involved in young family outreach programs in the city. The Cauthorns met through Homestay International and saw the need for the Gospel in Japan. Japan is less than 1% reached and is one of the fastest declining evangelical populations in the world. Japan needs Jesus. The Cauthorns are focused on reaching and connecting young adults, students, and families with healthy church communities in their area. They are determined to contribute to making disciples that will then make more disciples, who will plant churches that will go on to plant more churches.
