Prayer is the primary way humans communicate with God. We worship a God who hears our prayers and acts according to His plan and purposes. Through prayer, we have access to the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe who knows each of us by name. God also calls us to be a part of what He does in the lives of others as we bring their needs before Him in prayer.

Prayers for the courage and wisdom to honor my husband who is lost. He says he is a Christian, but bears no fruit. He has emotionally abandoned our marriage, and is emotionally and mentally abusive to me. Pray that if I stay, I remain faithful, and a light in his darkness. If I go, it is agreeable and does not turn violent. Pray for our children, to see God’s glory in this mess we”ve made. I have peace in either decision— but need the courage to actually choose.

Please pray for my sister Catherine (46). She suffered a heart attack this past Saturday. The doctors put a stent on the artery that was blocked and on Wednesday she was discharged from the hospital. This morning at 2am she is back in the hospital. She believe she had another heart attack and the doctors are trying to figure it out. Please pray that God takes care of her current health situation.

My unsaved husband recently joined the US Marine Corps. He fell in love with it and wants to dedicate himself to it. But we both know that this means he has less to give to our marriage in our case because he (well we*) can’t figure out how to balance the military life and marriage. So he’s considering divorce because he thinks it will be easier on me. But I disagree and I don’t want the divorce. Please pray for my marriage with me. I don’t think God is done with this marriage. Actually, I know He isn’t done with our marriage. We haven’t even been married a whole year. Pray that God takes control of this outcome. There is a member of your church who beat up a woman behind closed doors. She is silenced in speaking the truth because he claims she is the issue. He stands and worships and claims to all around him about his good nature as a Christian man. He is in need of Jesus so it’s good he goes but his heart is off. Make sure you don’t just worship at your church but you live the right way and worship I pray for this man to see the light.
