We worship the God who saves us. This weekend in children’s church, we will read about Paul and Lydia in Philippi. Ages 3-K will hear be reminded that God wants us to share what we have with others. Grades 1-5 will learn God opens our hearts to respond, just as He did with Lydia when she responded to Paul’s message.

When you sit at home: Ages 3-Kindergarten read Acts 16:13-15. Grades 1-5 read Acts 16:12-15. How did Lydia respond to Paul’s message about Jesus?

When you walk along the road: When God opens our hearts, we are able to understand or believe something about God that we couldn't understand or believe before. He opens our hearts to believe in Jesus. He opens our hearts to understand new things about Him and His plan for us. What has God opened your heart to understand or believe?

When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Lord, for opening our hearts to want to follow You. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and help us to respond to Your call and follow You every day. Amen.”

When you get up: Lydia’s story is a reminder that God wants us to hear His message to us and to take action! What is God asking your family to do to share the love of Jesus with others? Discuss what your first step would be and do it!
